New Zealand has 48,000,000 sheep When the best time, there were 70,300,000 sheep (as of 1982). This figure is ten times as much as human being. That represents 12 sheep for every person in New Zealand. The farm products account for 30% of export goods.

In New Zealand, a lot of farmeres have doogs help to chase sheep. It's useful to cost down than to do theirselves or to use people. They use Collie for heading dogs. They work ten times as much as human.

In Japan, chicken farming is the most prosperous stock farming. Actually, a quantity of picking eggs is the third best in the world. Most of beef and pork were imports, but dairy products are replete.

In Japan, there a little heading dogs. Mainly, they take lively parts in Hokkaido. Although using heading dogs is studied in Kyushu, there are not many heading dogs in Japan. I hope farmeres use them soon.

NUFS and NUAS Festival

I would like to tell you about booths of NUFS and NUAS festival. The day, many booths were opened all over the place, and there were a lot of people.

First, there was a muffin’s and small item's booth named “MUGGY’s”, and it was opened only on Sunday. The clerks cooked muffins in cooperation, and cream has pretty color, for example, pink, blue, purple, yellow and so forth. Their decorations were nice and the taste was good. In terms of small items, I forgot to take a picture them. However, they were so cute!

Next, my club is Japanese circle, and we opened Takoyaki’s booth, but we are Japa-cir, so we sold Japa-yaki. We sold them on Saturday and Sunday. We sold two types Japa-yaki. The one was mix and the other was like Russian roulette. There were octopus, cheese, sausages, cabbage, kimchi and mochi in the mix types. And then, in Russian roulette types, one of them tasted wasabi. Both days, we could sell them out for about three hours, and we got 40,000 yen! This money will be paid our finished-project-party!

Hiyoshi Shrine Festival

In Niigata, my hometown, there is Hiyoshi shrine festival, on every September 1st. Hiyoshi shrine is in Itoigawa city, and it is on the south-east of Niigata. There is a dancing handed down from Kyoto about 500 years ago. It is called Oteteko-mai, and it is one of Einen public entertainment handed down to Niigata. Einen was come into the mid-Heian era. It was prosperous for the period of the Northern and Southern Dynasties.

Some adults and 4 children dance Oteteko-mai on a stage. They hardly move their positions, and they open and close their hands, feet and fans, and walk slowly for 30 minutes during they dance Oteteko-mai. In addition, there are some kind of dancing, for example, Kururi-mai (2 kids dance it.), Hoko-mai (4 kids of 10 years old dance it.), Kagami-mai (2 kids of 4 years old dance it.), Hana-mai(2 kids of 8 years old dance it.), Yumi-mai(2 kids of 12 years old dance it.), Tanemaki (2 adults dance it.), Shime-mai (A adult dances it.), Banzai-mai (2 adult.) and Shishimai (2 adults.).

During dancing, the music is being played. A lot of children and adults beat drums, play the festival flutes and sing songs. They practice musical instruments and songs for Ohayashi (This is musical accompaniment.). This is slow, but beautiful music. Moreover, kimono and hair-ornament are made by local people. These are excellent workmanship.

Legally Blonde

This movie is a success story, and called “Legally Blonde.” However, it was known as “Cutie Blonde” in Japan. This was made in 2001, and directed by Robert Luketic.

Story
Elle Woods, a main character, lived a luxurious residential area in California, and studied about fashion in a college. She achieved excellent results, and she was the president of a social club. She was a perfect girl except aspect of study. She is a blond-haired woman and likes pink, so she looks like foolish.

Her boyfriend, Warner, wanted to become politicization, so he wanted a bride for not a blonde like Marilyn Monroe but a brunette (Brunette means women who have brown or black hair.) like Jacqueline Kennedy. Therefore, suddenly, she was dumped. However, she is positive, so she aims to enter same “Harvard low school” as Werner. As a result, she could enter this school, but he has already had a brunette girlfriend, Vivian. Moreover, everyone recommend Elle leaving school. It makes her study hard. She studied harder than Werner, so she was elected to a assistant of their Professor Callaban with Vivian.

Elle changed her goal to become a good lawyer from trying to get his back. Furthermore, she makes good friends with Vivian, and she goes together with Emmett who is a good lawyer and the professor’s subordinate. After that, she solved a case of murder instead of her Professor. He didn’t believe that their client, Brooke Taylor Windhame, was innocent, but Elle believed her innocence. Therefore the client didn’t open her mind to him, but she opened her mind to Elle. Elle didn’t give up this problem and never stop believing the client.

I was touched by this action of Elle. She does what she wants to do and didn’t give up what she decided. Moreover, she is kind to help her friends.

My Summer Vacation

I went back my hometown, Niigata. I went to a driving school at there, and could get a driver's license. The teachers taught me friendly and cheerfully. Everyday I enjoyed to study about driving. However, I was scared of high speed, so I couldn’t change traffic lines at a turnpike. Because it was high speed, if I made a mistake, I might cause a traffic accident and kill my teacher. My kind teacher confirmed mirrors in stead of me because I explained that reason. When I drove course of near sea in class, I was very scared of thinness of road and tunnel. However, I had to reach a speed of a speed limit. My teacher requested me to reach a speed of a speed limit for my practice of reaching a speed of a speed limit and following cars, but I didn’t listen to my teacher’s asking because I was very scared! I didn’t want to die! Now I think those days, it’s miracle for me to get a driver's license. However, I very enjoyed a conversation with friends and teachers!

I belong to Japanese circle at NUFS, and I welcomed new students studying abroad at centrair-airport and Fujigaoka station. We waited at there all days. It was very hard, but I was so happy that I could meet them the first. I met and had a conversation a lot of students. However, I was sad that I memorized many their name, but they didn’t memorize my name when we met at NUFS. I want to make friends with them. Next day, we guided them through NUFS. I took 5 students, 3 Australian, 1 Singaporean and 1 British. I put them to trouble because I had many mistakes, but they were very kind to me. We enjoyed having lunch. After that, we went shopping around NUFS. This time we became good friends. I wish they remembered my name!
